Stephanie Nakasian And The Richmond Jazz All-stars at The Thomas Jefferson Memorial Church

For the first time in Charlottesville, veteran jazz vocalist Stephanie Nakasian brings what she describes as "a very special concert with my dream band," to perform an evening of bebop classics on Sunday September 8th at 7 pm in The Thomas Jefferson Memorial Church. The band includes saxophonist James "Saxmo" Gates, pianist Weldon Hill, bassist Michael Hawkins and drummer Billy Williams. Together they represent decades of experience performing both as a quartet and individually, backing up some of the biggest names in jazz. The Bebop All-Stars will play compositions by some of the greatest composers in jazz history, including Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Art Blakey, Horace Silver and others....
